'OV-chipkaart' pricing  The 'OV-chipcard' is new pricing system for the whole Dutch public transport. The card is the only valid payment method in Rotterdam and Amsterdam metro. There is also a large area where it's already possible to travel with the 'OV-chipkaart', but not required.
The 'OV-chipkaart' is a plastic card with the size of a bank card and can be loaded with credit in euros or a travel product such as a single or season ticket.
